We suggest looking at a project in two distinct parts:
PRECONSTRUCTION PHASE: This entails all activities necessary to ensure a successful build; architecture & design, property identification, financing arrangements, initial engineering tests, feasibility analysis, and budget preparation. For an average home, expect this phase to take 2-4 months.
CONSTRUCTION PHASE: This includes every activity from ground- breaking to completion of your custom home. Expect 5-8 months for this stage for an average project, while more involved projects can take upwards of 12 months or more.
